Our Story

Curriculum Connections is a family business.
Our love for homeschooling came about organically.
Dawn was a stay-at-home-mom in the early 2000's.
Her son Gideon was a wonderfully precocious little guy who kept her quite busy,
introducing her to the needed transition to homeschool life.
Searching for quality education that would
allow her Mensa kiddo to flourish was difficult to find.

She soon discovered that the Homeschool co-ops sparked her love
for teaching large groups of children with varying ages & learning styles.
With her background in Early Childhood Education and the need
of the homeschool community she opened a facility in Sacramento called
'Wellspring Learning Exchange'.
They had a total of 52 students, 10 instructors and 25 enrichment classes.
This business plan flourished.
As her son got older life moved in a different direction.

In 2020 the public education system changed.
People began to reach out, seeking advice on how to homeschool.
She started a side business as a homeschooling advocate.
Dawn put together customized curriculum kits,
helped parents prep their home classrooms,
and educated families on the different homeschooling methods.
Now that her son is grown,
she has another opportunity to homeschool her youngest.
Her fun and feisty daughter Aurora is such a gregarious girl and in need of educational interactions.
Children thrive when they're given positive social companionship
with children their own age.

Dawn revamped her old business model.
Curriculum Connections was born!
She offers enrichment classes to the El Dorado county homeschool community.
The goal is to grow the business by adding 'Curriculum Kits', field-trips, physical education classes,
and tutoring for families that receive charter funding.
Dawn also has introduced a non-profit 'Busy Bee-lievers' christian program
for families who are not going through a charter school.
All of these programs are lead by qualified instructors, with background checks
full of enthusiasm and a love for teaching.
We can't wait to meet you!
